Colzani Transbanda 18500 Freezers |
|
The steel belt freezer is a modification of the steel belt cooler. Using refrigerated brine or low temperature coolant, in contiuous contact with the underside of the belt operating in an insulated low temperature enclosure, the TRANSBANDA 18500 stainless steel belt becomes an unique continuous contact freezer for solids, slurries or liquids.

In most cases, cooling coils are used above the steel belt without air movement. This keeps dehydration of the product to a minimum. Where moisture loss is not a problem, a cold air blast over the product can be of advantage.
Generally, any product ½" (12,5 mm) in thickness or less with a flat, moist surface can be economically frozen on the TRANSBANDA steel freezer.
For example, fish fillets, shrimps, meat patties and several other products can be successfully frozen on a TRANSBANDA 18500 steel belt unit.
